ANNUAL SUMMER FESTIVAL
EVERY AUGUST LONG WEEKEND ON CIVIC HOLIDAY
Members of the Wat Lao Veluwanh community host a fundraising event to raise funds and awareness for the temple. It is a huge outdoor affair including tons of Laos inspired and authentic food, live music, cultural performances, local vendors, and a soccer tournament.
All the proceeds go towards the ongoing development of the temple.
AUTHENTIC FOODS
The Laos inspired food is prepared and made fresh just in time for the huge event.
Here at the festival you can find green papaya salad made to your spice preference (tam mak hoong), minced meat salad (larb seen), crispy rice salad (naem khao), stuffed sausage (sai gok), and the list goes on!
LIVE MUSIC
The invited singer of the festival were greeted at the front entrance and walked before the food tents toward the opening pavilion for an official opening ceremony.
SOCCER TOURNAMENT
A huge soccer tournament is held with teams from various communities.

There is 3 divisions in the tournament:
1. Youth
2. Seniors
3. Friendship
PRIVATE SALE BOOTH
There are a number of private booths that set up to sell their authentic Laotian inspired goods. Such as sticky rice containers (Abb Khao), kitchenware required to make sticky rice (Mo Nung Khao), and souvenirs brought over from Laos.

Falls on the 1st Saturday during the August Civic holiday Long weekend
9:00 am to 8:00 pm

Open to the public, all are welcome!
Admission fee of $5.00/person
Outside food and liquor is not permitted into the park.
